Philip Bingham

Phil Bingham has achieved recognition as a consummate musician, pianist, music educator and minister of music. He started his musical career at the age of eight, playing piano at Bethany C&MA Church in Bronx, New York, attended the original High School of Music and Art in NYC. The movie Fame (originally released in 1980, and remade in 2009) and the TV Series Fame both dramatized student life at (Music and Art) LaGuardia High School. He graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree from Nyack College. Mr. Bingham tenure includes a musician in residence: Drew Seminary Week, Ocean Grove, NJ. Phil is also the Minister of Music emeritus of the Concord Baptist Church of Christ, Brooklyn, NY. Rev. Dr. Gary Simpson, Assistant Professor of Preaching, Drew Theological Seminary stated, “Phil (Bingham) could do anything from classical to improv,” Mr. Simpson had said in a conversation that week. “He could play in any key. And he was the consummate thoughtful, reverent human being.
