Tara López is an Associate Professor of Sociology at Northern New Mexico College. López is the author of the upcoming book Chucotown Soundtrack:  El Paso Punk Rock(University of Texas Press, 2023) and of The Winter of Discontent:  Myth, Memory, and History(Liverpool University Press, 2014).
